Knoebels Scout Day

"Dear Scouter or Leader:

The 45th Annual Scout Day at Knoebels will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Special
arrangements will enable all scouts to register and enjoy rides between 12:00 noon and 6:00 pm.
All Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cubs and Brownies are welcome.

Two price options are available for 2013. Registered scouts can purchase a basic ride plan for
$19.00 each. More adventurous scouts who wish to include unlimited use of the Wooden Roller
Coasters will pay $22.00. Knoebels will donate $1.00 for each registered participant purchasing
either ride plan to his or her Scout Council. We would prefer that this money be used for summer
camping purposes.

The first 2000 participating scouts will receive a Knoebels Scout Day 2013 patch.

General public handstamps will be available for $22.00 and $26.00 with the Wooden Coaster
option. These plans do not include the Haunted Mansion, the Scenic Skyway or the Black
Diamond but they do allow unlimited use of over 50 other rides! New for 2013 will be
StratosFear, a 148’ tall drop tower and Crazy Sub, a great kids’ ride.

Registration at the Birthday Pavilion near the Grand Carousel will be open at 10:30 am, rides
will open at noon. Please be certain to register before attempting to get your hand stamped.
Tickets issued at registration are for council identification purposes only to compute Knoebels’
donations and do not indicate payment for handstamps. Each council is strongly urged to have
qualified personnel on hand to process their scouts and leaders. It is suggested that each scout
have his or her membership card to facilitate this process.

There are picnic pavilions available for thousands, so it will not be necessary to make advance
reservations for individual groups.

We hope you will forward this information regarding date, time and place to all your troops at
regular intervals to encourage a large turnout, making this day a success for your boys and girls,
both in terms of fellowship as well as your summer camping programs.

We will be happy to provide you with brochures and any other information. Please let us know if
you have any questions.

Yours for a successful Scouting Program,

Dick Knoebel
