Today we had a special presentation on bicycle safety as part of the RN program at LCCC. Injuries due to falls, specifically head injuries are one of the most predominant cause of child injuries. Helmets are a lot “cooler” than stitches or worse. We also opened our activities with an elective from 1a- It’s a Secret- deciphering secret codes and time permitting we will also try to do 1b and c and create our own code and learn how to spell our name using American Sign Language.
SPECIAL UPDATE FOR OUR NEXT DEN MEETING TO BE HELD APRIL 3RD.
The visit to the seeing eye dog training center is not panning out. It was not a requirement for the Pet Elective and instead we are going to take advantage of an Belt Loop opportunity. We are going to meet at Skate-A-Way for their Scout Night, where Scouts and their families skate for free. We will cover the cost of rentals for the scouts. The free skate is held from 6-9pm so please join us as soon as you can arrange to be there.
Hoagie sale starts today, please remember to get a sheet or download from www.cattypack.org.
